Kensington Metro Park Milford, MI : Scenic Kent Lake is surrounded by 4,357 acres of Kensington Park, allowing Michiganders and visitors a year round place for fun, sun and winter recreation. Beautiful hiking, biking, driving and fitness trails are just a part of the many things Kensington has to offer. For the avid boater, two launching ramps are available. Rental of paddleboats and rowboats provide water fun for everyone. For those who wish a larger boat, the Island Queen, an excursion boat has capacity for 66 passengers and makes trips every hour during the summer (group charters are also available). For the Michigan sportsman, fishing and golfing are at your beck and call. During the winter season the park provides an ice rink, cross- country skiing, tobogganing and sledding. It's quite apparent, that if you can't find something to do here, you just plain aren't looking hard enough.

Homasassa Springs, Homasassa Florida : A 45 foot deep natural spring is the centerpiece of this more than 210 acre large park, located on US 19 in Homosassa Springs, Florida. The springs are the headwaters of the beautiful Homosassa River that flows nine miles west into the Gulf of Mexico. Saltwater and freshwater fish are attracted to these natural springs with their constant, year-round temperature of 72 degrees F. A floating underwater observatory inside the springs allows the visitor to view fish and manatee at close range. About 350 volunteers help in the operation, maintenance and improvement of the park.

Rainbow Springs, Dunnellon Florida : In a word, "wow."  Rainbow Springs is one of the clearest springs in Florida.   It's like you're flying underwater the visibility is so good.  Once operated as a tourist attraction park, Rainbow Springs is now owned and operated by the state.  Great efforts have been made to preserve this site.  It includes a large headspring, Rainbow Spring, that has a swimming area roped off.  Depths reach 16 feet.  There are several vents throughout the headspring and lots of rock formations to explore.  Bass and Brim swim all around you including a 15 lb. Bass thats been there awhile.  The site also has tropical gardens and trails including 2 artifical waterfalls that are picturesque.  There is no scuba allowed, however you can do an awesome drift dive down the Rainbow River.  The Rainbow River features several other small springs that can be explored by the diver or snorkeler. Depths in Rainbow River average about 7 feet.  You can rent canoes from Rainbow Springs State Park or take one of the many tour/dive boats down the river.
